The gene pool could use a little Chlorine.

Okay, so I realize, it's gotten even worse than I thought...I mean, I don't even know what to say. No post in forever...not even an update. So here is the answer to the question:

Sidney is a mutt. I mean, we're not even sure what she is. Her mom is a fleabaggin whore (seriously, Sid's litter is 7 months old and the bitch is pregnant again) and we think half of Sid's siblings are from a different father! What a floosie. So, mom-whore is half Lab and half Pointer...sounds fancy, but basically she's a hunting dog that lives on a tobacco farm (and obviously spends her free time trolling for man-doggies). We think Sidney and the smarter half of the litter may have had a Border Collie for a father. She's very compact, too smart and mischeivous for her own damn good, and FAST. She's 30 lbs but somehow thinks she's just as big as my sister's 60 and 70 pound Labs. She makes the vet get on the floor with her because she looks at the table like "i'm a big dog, why do I have to get up there?"

And, her sister belongs to my brother-in-law and his wife, but we're keeping her while they're on vacation so right now I have two puppies laying underneath my feet. She does have some brothers who look like full-on German Shepherd-Labs, and they are huge, but the vet says 30-35 pounds is where she'll top out. She's really cute! We went swimming in my parents pool (the house we bought is less than 10 minutes down the road) and finally got Sidney to at least step in and wade around the top step. She wanted to swim, but she was too scared to just jump all the way. It's a big step, though. Sorry about not having pictures, but my camera is dead and 6 weeks later, somehow we're still in the "settling in" phase of moving and have not unpacked everything or fully set up the office.

Other than that, work is work. I love my job but feel the pressure most of the time. And I have every pregnancy symptom I've ever heard of without actually being pregnant. I mean, I like cinnamon all of a sudden, have been buying avocados in bulk (seriously, I looked it up on the web and signed up for an avocado newsletter), have crazy heartburn, want to take a nap every day at 4PM and again at 7PM, and suddenly don't like spicy food. I don't get it. Anyway, it's probably my body just saying "you're going to be an aunt in November...when is it MY turn?"

So, that's it. Go on vacation Monday night, and I can't wait. With buying the house and all my husband and I haven't been on a trip since our honeymoon, so it will be nice to get away! I'm glad to see everyone else is doing well here at Motime!

Some of my friends often tease me because I often have pregnancy symptoms too. So far so good, though. *crossing fingers and knocking on wood*

Sidney is really cute.

Yeah...the heartburn is the weirdest. I am one of those that never gets allergies, heartburn, UTI's, or any other very common problems that lots of people seem to complain about, so to have heartburn I'm just thinking...there's something going on.

And not liking spicy food...what is THAT about? From a girl that loves habanero flavored hot sauce. I don't get it.

You know, I never had problems like that either...until I passed 30, then all of the sudden, I had acid reflux, knee pain, and other assorted maladies. I hate to suggest it, but it could be just your body getting older.

Except I'm not 30 yet, old dude. John thinks I may have an ulcer.

Sidney loved the beach, by the way...did lots of swimming and actually jumped off the back of the boat on her own.
