How come when we get all dressed up we feel absolutely gorgeous, and then when someone emails us the pictures we totally deflate and think "man I look like a COW"?

I know I sound like I have the worst body image in the world, but I really don't. Unless I'm looking at pictures of myself, I'm thinking "damn I'm hot". I just don't photograph like I used to.

I think clothes muck everything up. I think they make me look bigger than I really am. Or maybe when I look in the mirror, I have such high self-confidence that I see the beautiful, healthy person that's trying to escape from inside. Ha ha...I am shallow hal.

Sigh... I wish I could just walk around naked.

Are you wearing proper fitting clothes? It's so hard to find stuff that fits (seriously, try finding pants with a minimum 34" inseam and a low rise because you are short-hipped and long-waisted). And I'm cheap when it comes to clothes...I can't make myself buy pants that cost more than my groceries. Maybe we can nominate each other for What Not to Wear. :-)

Actually...I manage a clothing store, and I do spend a lot on my clothes! They fit fine...the camera always just seems to catch me in an awkward pose where my arms look jiggly and my face seems about twice as big. I'm short waisted and long legged...I used to hate the low rise, but when I tried it on with a longer inseam they are a perfect fit!

So you'll give me a good discount? ;-)

Pictures don't do me justice. I've found if you strike a pose (vogue, if you will) for the camera the results are a bit better. But...ah, well. Pseudo double chin be damned!
